The linen is surprisingly soft, not scratchy like other sunhats we've tried. It stayed put through a whole afternoon at the beach without me constantly readjusting it.
My little one fusses with most hats, but this one stays put through a whole morning at the park. The wide brim actually keeps the sun off her neck, and the linen feels light enough that she forgets she's wearing it.
The brim is wide enough that I can finally stop wrestling with sunscreen on her forehead. Took it to the farmer's market last weekend and she didn't fuss once, even with the sun right overhead. The linen feels breathable and sturdy for all the grabbing she does.
