The linen is surprisingly soft, not scratchy like other sunhats we've tried. It stayed put through a whole afternoon at the beach without me constantly readjusting it.
My little one fusses with most hats, but this one stays put through a whole morning at the park. The wide brim actually keeps the sun off her neck, and the linen feels light enough that she forgets she's wearing it.
